Well, it’s that time of year again…. Students are going back to school and the HBCU is giving them a big “welcome back.”
The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Tour has become an annual event on some very prominent and prestigious campuses. The event being held on the college circuit this year is the Should Could Dream Tour and consists of 14 stops and is projected to reach 33,000 students. The event is the largest of it’s kind, reaching more than a million students overall, where the objective is to inspire students to stay focused, pursue their dreams and obtain a higher education. The day is filled with education, sponsored activities, motivational speakers, product sampling and of course, entertainment!
The HBCU Tour kicked off this weekend at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and has more event dates in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. The annual tour also gives independent musical artists the opportunity to perform on a large-scale platform in front of college students, allowing for greater exposure that would otherwise take much longer to gain. The performance segment of this tour is a great showcase, whether you are an up and coming artist or just an avid fan music. It’s sure to be a larger than life experience for all.
